This four-storey extension is a prominent new addition to the Thomas Graham Building which houses the University of Strathclyde’s Chemistry Department. It is located within the heart of the city centre campus in Glasgow and can be viewed from several locations within the city centre.
The new extension cantilevers out dramatically over the flat roof of the chemistry department’s library in a stepped tilted glass facade.
The new extension provided the opportunity to create a significant landmark at the entrance to the University of Strathclyde and to improve the cityscape in this.
