McLean Architects were invited to take part in a competition to design replacement accommodation for the Whithaugh Park Adventure Centre.
The 110 acre site is adjacent to the rural village of Newcastleton in the Scottish Borders and currently provides accommodation for around 200 guests.
The new proposal was to deliver five lodge houses in a mixture of single and two storey configurations, thus offering flexibility for visiting groups of varying sizes.
The timber clad lodges were to be clustered around a central green focal point, designed in the Scottish venacular style, sitting low to the landscape.
